Antonella Puca is the Managing Partner of BlueVal, a valuation services firm with offices in New York, San Francisco and Manila. Antonella specializes in the valuation of private equity and venture-backed companies for financial and tax reporting, M&A transactions, buy-sell agreements, estate planning and litigation purposes. With more than 20 years of experience in the alternative investment industry, Antonella has particular expertise in providing valuations of high growth companies and complex securities at fair value to private equity, venture capital and hedge funds and their managers.
Antonella has served as a member of the research committee of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA), as a director and treasurer of the Board of the CFA Society of New York and as a Director at CFA Institute. She has served on the Business Valuation Committee and is a member of the Portfolio Valuation Forum of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She has been a consultant on the CFA exam development team since 2007 and has participated as a judge in the CFA Research Challenge. Prior to BlueVal, Antonella has held positions at various valuation advisory firms, and as an auditor at KPMG & EY in San Francisco and in New York.
Antonella is the author of Early Stage Valuation (Wiley: 2020) and a frequent presenter and author on valuation and alternative investment topics. She has received the 2021 Volunteer of the Year Award – Valuation Services of the AICPA. She is qualified as an expert witness in the State of California.
Antonella graduated cum laude in Economics at the University Federico II of Naples, Italy with a thesis in Public Finance, has been a research fellow at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and has a Master in Law Studies – Taxation from the NYU School of Law.
