Birgit advises banks on various risk management topics (e.g. Basel/CRR/CRD,  ESG) for more than 20 years. Birgit worked for various banks and bankinsurers while working for various PwC firms ( Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, and the United Kingdom). In addition, she worked as a senior credit risk modeller at ING Group (based in the Netherlands) for 4.5 years.

Claire is a Director at PwC Luxembourg, specialised in Sustainability reporting. She is supporting our clients in the implementation of their Non-Financial Reporting for operational companies and financial market players by reviewing/designing their processes, risks and controls and transforming their current operating model to ensure completeness and accuracy of reported data. She is also performing readiness assessment or limited assurance review of sustainability reports by reviewing a set of selected information and/or the compliance with standards such as GRI/SASB, CSRD/ESRS/EU Taxonomy of the Sustainability report. She is actively involved in the PwC CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive),  EU taxonomy and TCFD (Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures) working groups.

Daniel Theobald is working as a director in the Financial Services Consulting department and has over two decades of experience in the banking system. He is well versed in the banking consulting business with a profound understanding of financial markets. Daniel has applied this expertise over the years by offering his consulting services to clients interested in sustainability and Sustainable Finance. 

Drawing on his profound knowledge on banking, Daniel has been assisting banks in their transition towards integrating sustainability into their lending practices. He is primarily focused on designing and executing comprehensive, end-to-end sustainable corporate strategies while ensuring regulatory compliance. Additionally, he shares his expansive knowledge in finance and sustainable finance as an associate professor at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
