Order "Poster: CRD IV Own funds and capital requirements"

The so-called Basel III framework of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision was transposed into European legislation by means of the CRD IV 'package' of CRD IV & CRR (i.e. in the form of a Directive and a Regulation) on 26 June 2013. While the Directive requires local transposition in each EU Member State, the Regulation entered into force on 1 January 2014.

Capital requirements constitute an essential element of CRD IV/CRR, in particular with regards to the qualitative criteria for the recognition of core and additional capital instruments, the calculation of regulatory capital components and the entire quantification of credit, market and operational risks as well as of the newly adopted CVA charge.

PwC’s new CRD IV Poster explains which rules pertain to what issues, which quota are to be respected in what situation, and much more.
