Olivier Mennel, Assurance Partner

Meet new partner Olivier Mennel who has an interesting professional journey at PwC, starting as an auditor in Paris in 2008 before joining the Luxembourg office in 2009, where he has been working for 14 years. 

What is unique is that on his unconventional path he starts off as a chemical engineer. Yet, he says this is what eventually led him to develop a passion for auditing and finance, ultimately bringing him to PwC.

Outside of work, Olivier is an enthusiast of  travelling, DIY projects, Krav Maga and motorbike. He also has an interest in new technologies and their strategic use in enhancing productivity. He loves to cook–and eat–good food. His quirk is collecting American licence plates, and he also is interested in Ancient Roman and the Roman Empire. When asked about a past cool experience, Olivier recounts how he rode a Polaris UTV in the US.

What would he do if had unlimited funds for a project? Not one to shy away from the big issues, Olivier envisions an ambitious project aimed at nourishing and educating populations in regions affected by climate change. He emphasises the importance of developing sustainable production and irrigation systems to address this urgent global challenge.
