Guillaume Roux, Tax Partner

Meet Guillaume Roux, who joined PwC five years ago and appreciates the richness of different cultures, which makes him a good fit for a company (and country) with so many nationalities. 

When he was little he loved building blocks, a passion happily passed on to his children. As a teenager, he was purchasing hardware parts, assembling them and selling the computers. As an adult, he completely renovated an apartment with friends. It is thus not surprising to hear him say that what motivates him in the morning is problem solving at work, viewing it as a building exercise and enjoying structuring innovative solutions for clients.

He has a strong interest in travelling to exotic and unfamiliar countries. He notably met with a local tribe in the Amazon rainforest, who shared with him some of their traditions and painted his face. 

The key moment in his career was his promotion to partner. As a former national league handball player, he worked hard to reach his goals, always keeping in mind it was a team effort. 

His resilience, willingness to listen to others and adaptability to changing situations are what he considers valuable professional skills. Training younger individuals is important to him and he combines mentoring and coaching to guide them in finding their career path and succeeding in the corporate environment.
