DORA Day Eve: Beyond the basecamp, the climb continues

Isadora Pardo is Senior Vice President Industry Affairs at ALFI, the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry. Isadora is specialised in the fields of sustainable finance, operational resilience and digital Finance. She leads ALFI’s initiatives with the investment fund members on these topics, around the three main pillars of the Association: shaping the regulation, knowledge sharing / building and mutualization.

Prior to this, she was Risk Manager for a large management company in Luxembourg. With over 25 years’ experience in asset management and risk management, she also was the co-founder of a consulting company with purpose to help investment fund managers improve their operational processes through the use of fintech and innovative solutions.

Franck Bedell is the Head of Information Systems Security at Baloise Luxembourg.

Franck began his career as an IT technician in a work-study program, then progressed to roles as a technician, helpdesk, and system analyst. He later moved to Luxembourg as a Microsoft consultant and VMware virtualization specialist, before becoming a team leader. He then transitioned to the role of Risk Manager in a wealth management company before taking on the position of Chief Information Security Officer at Baloise in 2020. 

Through his diverse experiences, Franck has linked IT, operational, and information security aspects to operational and financial risks. He developed a security strategy for Baloise based on Zero Trust and risk quantification.  

A member of the ACA since 2022, he promotes information security in the insurance sector. In 2023, Franck was named CISO of the Year by the Luxembourg House of Cybersecurity (LHC), a prestigious recognition that highlights his commitment and expertise in cybersecurity. This title is a validation of his skills and dedication, as well as a personal pride that reinforces his position as a cybersecurity leader. Franck uses this platform to share his vision and experience, thus contributing to the continuous improvement of information security in Luxembourg, in the insurance sector and beyond. 

Franck is also part of the Women Cyber Force as a very proud member. 

Tom Deprins is the Global Director of Financial Services Compliance at Microsoft. With over 20 years of industry experience he brings deep expertise in regulatory compliance, risk management and security architecture. Tom has an extensive background in ICT management, audit, and security, helping customers navigate the complex regulatory landscape and enhance their operational resilience.

Andrey Martovoy is Senior Adviser - Innovation & Digital at the Luxembourg Bankers' Association (ABBL). He is part of a dedicated ABBL team that supports and facilitates digital transformation and innovation in the financial sector of Luxembourg. At the ABBL, he coordinates, among others, the activity of the ABBL Digital Strategy Committee, Task Force "DORA Assessment", and Working Group "Trust and Cybersecurity"
