Agenda

The European Central Bank (ECB) and the Single Resolution Board (SRB) have been shaking up banking supervision in the Eurozone for almost 10 years. It is once again time to reflect on this banking supervision framework, examining what has been achieved so far and what is coming next.

Our guest speaker will be Martin Neisen - Partner at PwC Germany, Head of Governance, Risk and Compliance Advisory practice, holding also such roles as Co-chair of SSM/EBA Office (EMEA PwC Network) and Basel IV Leader (Global PwC Network). He has more than 20 years of experience supporting banks and other financial sector players in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and solving problems that simultaneously concern regulation, risk management and accounting. He is also having a continuous dialogue with regulators/supervisors at both national and European level.

Martin will be joined by Jean-Philippe Maes and Ryan Davis - Partners at PwC Luxembourg, leading Risk & Regulatory Compliance Advisory practice.

During this conference, we will cover the following topics, among others:

  • Supervisory priorities for 2025 and beyond: SSM's observations, activities and plans
  • Key takeaways of the latest ECB’s SREP exercise
  • The EBA’s priorities and workplan for 2025 and beyond
  • The SRB's priorities for 2025 and beyond
  • Evolving regulatory agenda and challenges posed to banks
  • Supervisors and regulators’ views on the broader macroeconomic and geopolitical landscape, and the impact on banks
