Join us for this new webcast on Real Estate Tax and Cash incentives to drive the transition to sustainable and future-proof real estate!
The real estate industry is a critical piece of the puzzle to achieve sustainability. In Europe, buildings are responsible for approximately 40% of all energy consumption and 36% of CO2 emissions. Driven by investor and user demand and because of ESG reporting obligations such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), real estate companies require visibility and a strategy to reach their ESG goals. National authorities have implemented a wide range of incentives mechanisms in the form of cash grants, tax incentives and soft loans to encourage owners of real estate to invest in sustainability (e.g., insulation, electric heating systems, circularity and renewable electricity, etc.). These Tax and Cash incentives can play an important role in the transformation to a sustainable real estate portfolio.
During this webcast we will discuss how CSRD reporting will provide insight in a wide range of ESG indicators, what tooling is available to measure and to calculate what retrofitting may be required to reach certain ESG standards. We will also showcase national and local tax and cash incentives that may provide for monetary upside when realizing ESG goals.
This session will focus on impact on the tax function and real estate businesses in general.
PwC industry experts and tax representatives from across our global network will explore ESG measurements and reporting and discuss how Real Estate Tax and Cash incentives may drive the transition to sustainable and future-proof real estate.
