2nd PwC Lux Green Finance Day - International Impact Banking Conference

The International Expert and Executive Conference presented with the ABBL

The latest global Green Finance Index (GGFI) shows that Luxembourg ranks among the top green financial centres worldwide!

On 29 March 2018 PwC hosted the 1st Lux Green Finance Day which showed quite successfully that the financial sector in Luxembourg actively deals with sustainability, its impact on all of our businesses and with the question how to build future-oriented and sustainable business models.

Following the rising importance of Sustainable Finance and as a contribution to the development of Luxembourg’s financial centre, PwC and ABBL have developed Impact Banking as a concept aiming to position Luxembourg’s banking sector to become a front runner in the field of sustainable finance.

The concept of Impact Banking will empower banks to utilise Luxembourg's USPs - e.g. its globally unique financial eco system, its regulatory agility, its market access or its specialized human capital - to:

  • rapidly develop new - sustainable - business models, products and services,
  • actively shape and influence the development of new regulations in the field of sustainable finance,
  •  benefit from the 'first mover' implementation of new EU regulations and requirements - long before international competitors do, and
  • develop and drive sustainable revenues within their group as sustainable finance competence centre.

On our 2nd PwC Lux Green Finance Day - presented with ABBL - first results of the ABBL Sustainable Finance Market Study will be presented. This offers you the chance to gain deep insights in:

  • the concept of impact banking and its potential benefits
  • the current state of Sustainable Finance in the Lux banking sector and a strategical outlook
  • the upcoming EU regulation on Sustainable Finance and its business implications
  • potential future business models in the field of Sustainable Finance

and will foster your creativity and inspiration on Sustainable Finance as a core element of the future of banking.

Please note that the event is by invitation only.
