The glue that binds our firm together is our purpose, our values and the pro-active manner in which we seek to identify and drive them through our responsible business approach.
Our purpose is to build trust in society and solve important problems - a global, shared articulation of why we do what we do. We see the systems we're part of impacting every individual in society - and they're under strain like never before. We've identified five global megatrends - macroeconomic and geostrategic forces - that are shaping our world and our collective futures in profound ways.
Our global Vision 2020 focuses on further increasing the quality of our services to give the assurance our clients, the regulators and institutions need to function properly, in a trust-based environment; increasingly expand our reach in emerging economies; developing new services and adapting existing ones to better respond to our stakeholders’ challenges; using technology to transform, disrupt and grow our business.
Our values and behaviours define the expectations we have for working with our clients and each other. Although we come from different backgrounds and cultures across the network, they are what we have in common. They guide how we make decisions, treat each other, and serve our clients. They also hold us accountable to do our best.
As part of our CR and Sustainability agenda, we identified seven key topics that are most important to our internal and external stakeholders: societal impact, legitimacy and ethics, health, client satisfaction, conflict of interest and independence, employee journey and continuous learning. For us, sustainability issues are very important problems that we could contribute to solve - which is also our firm’s purpose "to build trust in society and solve important problems".
For further information on our CR agenda and to have a more in-depth look into the initiatives we are taking, please follow the link that will take you to our GRI-standard based Annual Review. Here, we recognise the broader range of issues that are bound to affect (positively and negatively) our people, our firm and our clients.
We want PwC Luxembourg to be, and to be known as a firm that is willing to take to appropriate measures to be a catalyst for positive change in the firm. Therefore, we need each and every one of you to support and join us in our CR and Sustainability journey.
Our objective is to nurture an inclusive environment where a diversity mindset is ingrained, and inclusion is the norm. We constantly focus on respecting and valuing individual differences.
Diversity is a fact, but its potential gets lost if we don’t work for inclusion.
We relentlessly do our best to interact with a gender lens in everything we do; when we hire, when we develop, when we promote and when we reward our people. We consider that creating a diversified workforce is critical to our Firm's success and growth. We're committed to ensure that women have equal opportunities to build a rewarding career. Among others, we promote a flexible approach to work (flexi-time, parental leave and more!) because that’s beneficial for both, men and women.
To us, an inclusive culture also means welcoming any sexual orientation with a supportive GLEE (Gays, Lesbians and Everyone Else) internal network. Sometimes, it also means to take clear choices, such as proposing a neutral religious environment. While complying with the fundamental rights to religious freedom, our work place remains secular. All of our people are invited to abide and respect our internal policies, setting some common limitations that are necessary to live collectively and protect the fundamental rights of others, these being your colleagues and clients.
