New edition of the brochure “The Luxembourg Stock Exchange: a prime location for listing”

On the occasion of the annual Stock Exchange Day, which took place on March 4, 2010, the Luxembourg Stock Exchange and PricewaterhouseCoopers Luxembourg released a new edition of the brochure “The Luxembourg Stock Exchange : a prime location for listing”. This tool targets all stakeholders that take part in the creation of new issues both on local and global levels.

This 18-page English booklet, the previous edition of which was already considered a reference, aims at presenting the services offer and wide range of securities issued on the markets of Luxembourg Stock Exchange. Also described are the various elements required for the admission to trading of securities. “Since its first edition, the brochure has aroused increasing interest from the financial centre and international financial markets. More than ever, the success encountered shows the appeal and potential unlocked by the Luxembourg financial centre”, added Laurent Collet, Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers Luxembourg and Capital Markets Leader.

A gold mine of information within reach

This reader-friendly brochure provides a general overview of the range of services offered by the Luxembourg Stock Exchange to local and international issuers, as well as the opportunities that are available to them. The brochure gives a global overview that emphasizes Luxembourg’s position as a key location for this industry.

“By means of listings, the Stock Exchange is carrying on with its transnational development while continuing to expand this activity to foreign issuers. In addition to its listing activities, the Stock Exchange is able to attract the interest of Luxembourg and foreign investors to act on its markets”, explained Hubert Grignon Dumoulin, Head of the Securities and Issuers Department at the Luxembourg Stock Exchange,

As a result of its reactivity, the Luxembourg Stock Exchange is currently the European leader for international listings. This enables it to easily attract new listings from emerging markets such as Brazil, India or the Middl East.

In addition to a hard copy, the document is available for download on the websites of Luxembourg Stock Exchange (www.bourse.lu) and PricewaterhouseCoopers Luxembourg (www.pwc.com/lu).
