Luxembourg: Where Else?

PricewaterhouseCoopers Luxembourg, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, presents its new brochure entitled “Luxembourg: Where Else?”, which offers a practical and realistic vision of a country that provides an attractive and innovative environment to set up and conduct business in Europe.

With the success of the first two editions of the brochure “Luxembourg: a prime location for doing business”, PricewaterhouseCoopers, with the Chamber of Commerce, reasserts its will to be strongly involved in promoting Luxembourg abroad. The title itself “Luxembourg: Where Else?” immediately focuses attention and sets the tone of the brochure. The publication pinpoints the reasons why the Grand Duchy is a unique and dynamic location in Europe for business and people, as well as highlighting key opportunities for success.

The first part emphasises Luxembourg’s attractiveness and demonstrates its key advantages for development: its strategic location, the high quality of communication between local players and the authorities, the country’s commitment towards R&D1 progression, innovation as a cornerstone strategy and finally its multicultural high-skilled workforce.

The brochure gives the opportunity to learn about the potential synergies to start-up and develop a project in Luxembourg and benefit from opportunities as far as research, innovation and financing are concerned, Pierre Gramegna, General Director of the Chamber of Commerce of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg says.  It also examines the numerous government measures in favour of the development of Luxembourg’s economy like the set-up of clusters and centres of excellence such as finance, IT, logistics and green technologies.”

In a second part, to answer the specific needs of each decision-maker, the document presents Luxembourg’s development opportunities by industry. High value added industries, sciences and health technologies, information and communication technologies, as well as e-commerce, broadcasting, logistics and transport, the automotive industry and financial services are all illustrated with testimonies and success stories.

“In a constantly evolving world, Luxembourg has kept abreast with economic developments and is well aware of what is at stake for companies, Didier Mouget,  Managing Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers Luxembourg concludes. As we expected, the brochure is practical and adapted to the business world, and it underlines how proactive the different players are and the solutions offered by the Grand Duchy.”

The brochure is part of a global strategy aiming to promote the Luxembourg business environment as ideal for well-established and start-up companies. As a proof of its hands-on approach, enclosed is a DVD including a host of testimonies and feedback on the experiences of businessmen and of the Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade. As such, the Chamber of commerce of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg will use it during its economic missions abroad. A dedicated website www.setupineurope.com that provides readers with the content and the movie of the brochure, also offers tailor-made support to each decision-maker with its free comparative cost calculator that gives you set-up costs by countries.
