The total social responsible investment (SRI) Assets under Management (AuM) have increased from EUR 2.7 trillion to EUR 5 trillion since 31 December 2009. This represents a spectacular growth of around 87%.
The SRI/impact investing market is largely driven by institutional investors, representing 92% of the total AuM.
Luxembourg offers a natural domain for SRI funds, with about 45% of the world’s microfinance investment vehicle (MIV) assets registered in Luxembourg.
Strong support from the Luxembourg government towards SRI and microfinance funds and a wide choice of funding vehicles available to promoters and investors.
